Dr. Naama Appel Doron

Dr. Naama Appel Doron

Naama Appel Doron is a communication Scholar that specializes in media literacy, covert advertising and health communication. 

Appel Doron earned her PhD from the department of Communication at Tel Aviv University, where her research focused on parents' perception of covert advertising related to their children health, and their critical literacies (health, media, digital and advertising). Currently, she serves as an adjunct lecturer in the same department. During her PhD studies, Appel Doron worked as a research coordinator and assistant for various health communication projects, including topics such as organ donation, advanced directives, and public health promotion. 

In the Social development Lab, Appel Doron contributes her extensive mixed-method research experience and a communication scholar's perspective. Her current research within the lab centers on social media influencers' values transmission to children and youth. Additionally, she investigates youths' social media usage in times of war.
